Details: This ek9 type r project was built with sheer speed in mind,the customer wanted the project to have the ability to top 170mph over and over again if needed.

we started of by assembling a cylinder head with a high flow rate and capable of handling over 9500rpm,below are the head specs.

The b16b block is identical to the b18c block externally so we proceeded to rebuild the block to the following specs.

1800cc spoon stroker crank
oem honda type r bearings
H beam steel connecting rods
modified type r oil pump
custom compression ratio forged wiseco pistons
block bored and honed to spec
block was decked true
oem new water pump
ARP main studs
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
piston ring gaps where custom set
everything is blue printed balanced and measured

the fueling, Meeting such fuel demands needed the use of an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a walbro racing pump that provides between 42 and 45 psi static pressure and about 60 psi under load/boost.
